Recognized as a wetland of international importance, the Domaine de la Palissade owes its landscape originality and uniqueness to its location and diversity of habitats and environments. At the mouth of the Rhône, this unique natural site is home to 307 plant species, 244 bird species and 58 fish species.
Owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral, it is a protected environment with a threefold ambition: to preserve, raise awareness and understand.
Open to the public, it offers a wealth of opportunities for discovery and observation. Interpretation trails guide visitors from the river to the marsh, along riparian forests, sansouïres, saldelle grasslands and reedbeds... A captivating exploration on foot or on horseback!
