Julien Allano opens his first restaurant in Bonnieux, a village emblematic of the Luberon region. After nearly 10 years as chef at Le Clair de Plume in Grignan, where he was awarded a Michelin star for his committed cuisine, and a stint as chef de cuisine at La Mirande in Avignon between 2007 and 2010, Julien Allano is writing a new page in his gastronomic career.
Local sourcing has always come naturally to Julien Allano, whose know-how is at the service of the terroir and not the other way around - this eco-responsible approach having already been adopted in his previous ventures. His move to Bonnieux brings him even closer to his Provencal roots, and he is now keen to add a new dimension to his cuisine.
In the heart of the Luberon, the chef wants to be in direct contact with both his producers and his customers. JU- Maison de Cuisine, has a large open kitchen, where cooks can also pass through to the dining room, for a total experience.
At the heart of this building, exposed stone and fabrics combine in shades of beige, while wood is integrated into textured panels and convivial tables. An apparent simplicity, where elegance is revealed in a dazzling sobriety.
