The Café de la Banque was created at the end of the 19th century. The brasserie lives up to its name, since the headquarters of the Banque de France, the Caisse d'Épargne and the Société Marseillaise de Crédit are less than 50 meters away.
The SMUC (Sport Marseille University Club) was founded in 1923 at the Café de la Banque, which remained its headquarters for a long time. It is an authentic place that has kept the charm and spirit of the old breweries.
