- The Réserve Naturelle Nationale du Vigueirat (Vigueirat National Nature Reserve) is a unique site between the Camargue and the Crau, offering self-guided tours or guided tours on foot, horse-drawn carriage or horseback. More than 300 species of birds have been recorded on its 1,200 hectares. These include all the varieties of European heron. Amphibians, coypu, hares and many other animals can be found at the turn of a path. Biodiversity is also reflected in the plant kingdom. There are plants specific to salty environments, such as woody soda or glasswort, and varieties adapted to wet or sandy environments. Nature lovers, whether novice or experienced, are sure to enjoy exploring this rare and unspoilt territory.
