Dated of the second half of the 18th century chateau Borely is emblematic of pleasure homes built around the city by the rich families from Marseille thanks to the trade with East (Egypt, Levant scale)

The Château Borely stands majestically in the middle of a vast park, a witness to a flourishing past. It is in this 18th century setting that Marseille's decorative arts and fashion collections are housed. The richness of the permanent collection (earthenware, ceramics, pieces signed by the greatest haute-couture houses, etc.), the quality of the exhibitions and the resource center illustrate the influence of the city of Marseille in these fields.
