Experience an unusual day adventure away from the crowds in the Gorges du Verdon, linking kayak and mountain bike. You go by mountain bike in the morning, then once the path stops, you inflate the packraft, put the mountain bike on the boat and go for a nice navigation on the blues waters of one of the most beautiful lakes of the region!
Once across the lake, enjoy a picnic and a swim in a small isolated cove. Then take your bike back to Castellane and discover small traditional hamlets perched on the heights, while enjoying a breathtaking view of the lake and the region.

We will live an unusual adventure linking mountain bike and packraft (ultra light kayak). We start the day by collecting our mountain bikes in Saint André les Alpes. Once the mountain bikes are adjusted, we start to ride towards Lake Castillon. We ride along the lake to reach our place to put in in the water after a few kilometers! Then it’s time to inflate the packrafts and disassemble the bikes and then attach them to the packraft, don’t panic, the guide is an expert!
Once the mountain bikes are strapped onto the packraft, we go across the lake at our own pace. We sail in the nooks and crannies of the lake and discover places otherwise inaccessible. After about 2 hours of navigation, we arrive at the cove. That’s where we finish the navigation part. We take advantage of this heavenly place to relax, swim and picnic.
After a good break, we continue the adventure again by mountain bike. We go up the bikes and fold the packrafts. The rest of the course is done by rolling. A small pass awaits us, everyone will go at his own pace! Once at the top, we will have a view of the 2 lakes of Verdon, we continue to drive towards Chaudanne Lake that we will follow with our bikes.
We then return to Castellane around 4.30pm – 5pm. We take the mountain bikes back to the rental company.
