Located near the mouth of the Rhône, the Domaine de la Palissade is one of the last vestiges of what was the delta before the damming. The river and the sea have formed a mosaic of landscapes here which is home to a remarkable flora and fauna.
1 hour walk :
A 1 hour circuit along the Rhône. While crossing the sansouïres, at the peaceful rhythm of our horses' steps, our guides will know how to make you feel confident. In an idyllic setting, come and discover extraordinary views of the river. A great introduction for beginners from 7 years old (ask for advice when booking).
2 hours walk:
This is an opportunity for you, at the pace of your Camargue horse, to cross an incredible mosaic of landscapes. A visit that you will never tire of, discovering the sansouïres, marshes, reed beds, lagoons and montilles. Our guides will be delighted to share their knowledge of the fauna and flora of this remarkable site, but also of our cultural and pastoral traditions in relation to our profession of Manadier.
3-hour ride: Reserved for experienced riders (gallop 5, ask for advice when booking).
After crossing the estate and its incredible landscapes along the Rhone, you can make your dream come true. Behind the dunes, the beach will offer itself to you. The opportunity to make some nice gallops under the supervision of our experienced guides. A timeless ride for unforgettable memories.
For safety reasons, the 1h and 2h tours are at walking pace. This makes the activity ideal for novices.
The 3-hour tour is reserved for experienced riders (Gallop 5 level); for safety reasons, guides reserve the right to refuse any riders who do not have the required level.
Helmets must be worn. For hygiene reasons, we provide approved helmets and hairnets.
Dress is important. Tops must be at least a t-shirt. We strongly recommend pants and closed shoes.
For obvious reasons, riding is not suitable for pregnant women.
For their well-being, the activity is regulated in terms of the weight carried by the horses. The average limit is 95kg.
