The evening will begin with a guided celestial stroll, providing an opportunity to discover the main constellations and some of the stars observable at this time of year with the naked eye, as well as presenting the main principles governing the life and death of stars.
Secondly, observation through an amplified telescope will allow you to marvel at the beauty of some of the most spectacular celestial objects in the summer sky, including the Eagle Nebula and its Pillars of Creation, the Wild Duck and Hercules star clusters, the Apple Pomeranian Nebula and the Whirlpool Galaxy.
The evening will conclude with a telescopic observation of the seas and craters of our natural satellite, the Moon. And let's not forget the shooting stars of the Perseid swarm, which will mark out the evening and provide an opportunity for those who wish to do so to make many wishes... On the program :
- naked-eye stroll through the constellations of the summer sky and observation of possible shooting stars from the Perseid swarm;
- observation of the deep sky through an electronic telescope with amplified vision, on the theme of the life and death of stars;
- observation of the gibbous Moon through an electronic telescope.
In case of bad weather, a celestial walk with commentary and indoor sky observation using astronomical simulation software and pre-recorded telescope observation sequences.
Provide comfortable seating: folding chairs, rugs, cushions, blankets for lying on the ground... it's up to you!
