Discover the life of our ancestors, between the village of Cervières and the Alpe. Life was structured according to the seasons. "We changed, as they say. The fields, the animals, the houses... the August rye, the hay... the spring...

After passing through the village, most of which was destroyed in 1944, we'll take an easy off-piste route or climb the old mule track. We used to move from house to house. But always to work. We'll go “Sur le chemin des Églantines” by Marilou Labourdenne. We'll listen to “Françoise et Mamès” by Jacques Serizier...

Depending on the time we have available, we'll either go straight downhill, or we'll go further round to discover some of the defences built against Italy between 1880 and 1945. The war also passed through here.

To round off our visit, we'll take a look at the Maison Faure-Vincent Dubois, an 18th-century farmhouse (listed as a Monument Historique) featuring a rich collection of everyday objects belonging to the family of Marie-Aimée Faure-Vincent Dubois. The house also houses works by Julien Faure-Vincent, a painter and sculptor from Cervey.
Good shoes and walking sticks recommended.
