I'll take you to the Fontantie plateau, a little-known paradise for snowshoers...

From Montbardon, a gradual ascent through the forest via a combe takes us to the summit of the mountain pasture, with its breathtaking views of the Aiguilles de la Selle, the Chambrettes ridge and the Écrins massif. We then make our way through this hilly environment, where a few summer cottages blend into the landscape. You'll be offered a slice of Montbardon cheese (of which there's no shortage!) during the picnic.

Equipment to bring: warm clothing, gloves, hat, sunglasses, sun cream, hiking boots or après-ski, rucksack, 1.5l water and picnic.
Level required: good walker, 700m ascent, 12 years and over.
