Once a lively winter spot, this magnificent valley fell into oblivion when the resort closed and the chairlifts and ski lifts were dismantled almost twenty years ago.
Since then, nature has reclaimed its rights, giving us the opportunity to rediscover this forgotten nugget of the Queyras. Through forests and valleys, we climb to the charming hamlet of Peynin. Then, conditions permitting, we'll head down to the end of the world, the Pra Chin hut. A long loop will take us back to Aiguilles in the late afternoon.
Equipment to bring: rucksack, hiking boots with wool socks, warm clothing, hat, gloves, windproof and waterproof jacket - Gore Tex or K-way type, sunglasses, water bottle - one liter minimum, picnic and snacks.
Level required: average but in good physical shape (580 m ascent).
