Animal watching on snowshoes Snowshoeing on a sunny plateau in the morning. Enjoy the wide open spaces in a wild valley surrounded by high peaks and observe the wildlife: chamois, mouflons and birds of prey. On the way back, you'll have the pleasure of making your own tracks and having fun descending through large snowfields. Meeting point 9.15am in front of the Maison des Produits de Pays in Jausiers, return around 12.30pm. Tuesday and Thursday mornings Snowshoes and poles provided. The great snowshoe descent to Le Sauze Easy and fun, this descent takes you through woods and old hay meadows. It's a very pleasant walk in the afternoon sunshine, with beautiful views over the valley. A two-hour off-piste descent where you can have fun winding your way through the trees and making your mark in large fields of snow. Ideal for walkers who don't want to climb too much, and for children who enjoy sliding around in the snow. Meeting point 2pm in front of the Sauze tourist office. Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons Snowshoes and poles provided.
