Come and spend a day on horseback following in the footsteps of the Counts of Provence!
From the farm, we will ride along the Route Napoléon, which will quickly offer us a magnificent view of the Buëch valley. Little by little, we will discover the old village of Mison and, above all, its feudal castle, which is over seven centuries old!
Meet at 9 a.m. at the farm, where we will prepare the horses and saddlebags together. Please bring a picnic lunch (preferably sandwiches, so they fit in the saddlebags) and a 1-liter water bottle. During our lunch break in a shaded area, you'll have plenty of time to explore the castle and imagine yourself in the Middle Ages, like a knight on his trusty steed!
The return trip across the Mison plain will offer us breathtaking views of the Durance valley and, in the distance, the citadel of Sisteron, which you can discover with us on another day trip! Return to the farm around 4:30 p.m.
Please note: riders must be comfortable at least at a walk and trot, equivalent to FFE gallop level 2.
