Aboard the ship “Croix du Sud V,” set sail from Sanary-sur-Mer to encounter whales and dolphins.
It is on the edge of the large marine trenches, bordering the Pelagos Sanctuary, that we can observe the blue and white dolphin, the bottlenose dolphin, the Risso's dolphin, the long-finned pilot whale, the sperm whale and finally, the second largest animal on the planet: the fin whale, the only whale resident in the Mediterranean.
Accompanied by naturalists and photographers from Découverte du Vivant, we will offer a lecture on board, as well as microphone presentations, covering biological concepts relating to all the species encountered during the trip. The Croix du Sud V holds the High Quality Whale Watching label, a guarantee of sustainable and respectful whale watching.
During this cruise, you will have the opportunity to observe other marine wildlife, including seabirds, sunfish, loggerhead turtles, bluefin tuna, swordfish and rays.
For each cruise, a photo report is provided free of charge by the naturalists at Découverte du Vivant.
We do not recommend this excursion for children under 4 years of age, as it lasts 6 to 7 hours, which may seem very long for young children.
The sea cruise is accessible to people with the following disabilities: visual, hearing, mental. For people with reduced mobility, the boat can accommodate two classic wheelchairs (no motorized wheelchairs), knowing that the toilets are not accessible with the wheelchair because they are too narrow.
