An ideal gîte in a sumptuous setting! Le Cassu is an old renovated farmhouse in the heart of the sunny hamlet of Le Roux at 1760m, 4km above Abriés. The view is superb! The gîte is on the route of the famous GR 58, and the food is excellent!

After a hike with a good climb in your legs, take a well-deserved moment to relax on the terrace or by the fire! Afterwards, don't hesitate to try the delicious dishes prepared with local produce and, above all, with love! José will welcome you in the best possible conditions. He'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about a particular hike! In the gîte, 18 places in family rooms are available all year round on a self-catering or half-board basis, as well as 2 furnished rental apartments. You'll also appreciate the peace and quiet and the beauty of the landscape. Grab your binoculars and take a good look opposite Le Roux. Can you see those horns sticking out? Those are chamois horns. In the hamlet of Le Roux d'Abriès, at an altitude of 1760 m, Aline and José welcome you for a stay or a stopover in the heart of the Queyras.
Le Cassu offers single rooms or mini-dormitories suitable for groups or families. Meals are prepared using fresh, local produce and served in the cosy dining room, with its wood-burning stove, weathered larch floor and traditional Queyras furniture. Overlooking the Bouchet valley, the view is exceptional.

Whatever the season, the gîte is ideally situated for hiking or snowshoeing. In summer, to add another dimension to the activity, it is possible to be accompanied by a pack donkey, a shared experience with the animal that will delight young and old alike.
