Welcome to the Chalet Viso, a warm and welcoming gite, located at 1700m altitude, in the heart of the Arvieux valley at the foot of the Izoard pass.

Chalet Viso is also a comfortable stopover and a gourmet stopover for itinerant hikers on the GR5 and GR58.
We offer two types of accommodation for hikers.
Comfortable double, triple or quadruple rooms with private bathroom and toilet in the room or on the landing.
You can also sleep under the stars in the Viso's comfortable domes. Set in the garden in front of the gite, these are watertight wooden half-spheres with 3 beds (16m2 floor area). The roof may or may not be transparent.
For two or three people, or as a dormitory if you're on your own. Comforters and pillows supplied. Bring your own meat bag or sleeping bag. Dry toilets next to the domes.
A large 30m2 dome is available for groups of 3 to 6 people or for yoga workshops.

Breakfast and dinner (hearty family fare based on regional products) are served daily at our large table or at private tables on the ground floor of this old farmhouse overlooking the garden.
In the evening, you're sure to relax by the fire or next to the stove in our two larch-beamed lounges.
Numerous maps, topos, books, magazines and games at your disposal near the bar. Wifi throughout the gite. Don't hesitate to ask us for advice on hiking!

An old Queyrassine building perched at 1700 m off the road, Chalet Viso is the kind of address that is passed on between hikers with a passion for the mountains and wide open spaces.
You'll find everything you need here! Everything that's appreciated and appetizing when you return from long, active days... Comfortable rooms, spaces for relaxation and conviviality, and inventive home cooking based on organic and local produce.
The warm, original atmosphere is also a plus. Travel dreams and otherworldly scenery permeate the premises. A touch of the exotic, thanks to Jean Robert's love of photography, his knowledge of nature, his view of the land and the planet in general - all passions he gladly shares with his guests.
