Château Mentone attaches great importance to its natural environment. In 2008, he opted to convert the entire vineyard to organic farming. All resources are exploited with respect for plants and soil.
Château Mentone is surrounded by 170 hectares of forest, plane trees and hundred-year-old oaks, vast spaces dotted with fountains, pools, natural springs and small streams.
A portion of the trees (cut according to a simple ten-year management plan, mainly pines) is used to heat the estate's buildings, making it a renewable, local and ecological source of energy.
All the estate's land is farmed organically, respecting plants and soils and following the cycle of the seasons. The olive grove, vegetable garden and orchard offer us products of the highest quality, perfect ambassadors for our terroir.
The same objectives are pursued in the henhouse with sustainable breeding techniques. The hens, of which there are 15 this year, are raised in the open air and fed with vegetable peelings from the garden.
