Farmhouse "Au Soleil Levant" in Montlaux.
A large, east-facing gîte for 8 people, facing the hill with cows.

Our Gîte Accueil Paysan is located at the foot of the Lure mountain, at an altitude of 650 m, 2 km from the first village of Cruis, 5 km from Saint-Etienne-les-Orgues, 20 km from Forcalquier and Sisteron, and 45 km from Manosque and Digne, on the Route Communale C1.

On the ground floor: a self-contained kitchen with dishwasher but no microwave; a dining/living room with wood-burning stove for winter evenings (wood provided) but no TV, and a sofa-bed (for an extra 2 p.); a bathroom with washing machine and separate toilet; and a bedroom with a double bed.
Upstairs: the yellow bedroom with a small adjoining balcony and view of the hill, and the red bedroom with 4 single beds.
The gite has internet access with or without wifi (CPL).
Outside, a large enclosed courtyard with garden furniture (made of local wood) and deckchairs, as well as a swing for the children's enjoyment. Children's bicycles are available. A trampoline outside the courtyard to share with the children of the small gite and the grandchildren of the hosts. This is a place where peace and quiet reign.The interior of this gite is extremely cool in summer.

We produce organic lamb and beef. Nicolas looks after 9 suckler cows and a flock of 135 suckler ewes. He sells broutard meat in boxes and vacuum-packed (or sometimes retail for guests), as well as pigs and chickens... a real farm! All the animals are free-range... and all organically farmed!
