As the sun shines brightly on our property, we have installed solar panels to compensate for energy-hungry appliances such as the pool filtration pump, air conditioners and hot water tanks. Electric bikes are also welcome!
Waste sorting garbage cans are available in our gite, including composting of vegetable waste. Once composted, this waste benefits our vegetable garden and olive trees.
Rainwater is collected in cisterns at various points on the property and used to water the olive trees, vegetable garden and flower boxes.
The cuttings from the olive trees are crushed on site by a local association recognized as being in the public interest, which contributes to the economic revitalization of the Vaucluse region by integrating environmental education and sustainable development into its operating principles. The shredded material is then deposited at the foot of the olive trees, where its transformation into compost benefits the trees.
