When an old forge is transformed to welcome you, the result is Le Passage des Sarrasins, a 2-person eco-gîte in the heart of the Ecrins National Park. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and hiking are just some of the many excursions on offer as soon as you step through the door. By preserving the old stone walls and larch wood framework, the renovation has not betrayed its original appearance. Nevertheless, particular attention was paid to insulation. Using sheep's wool, as well as lime and hemp, healthy materials were favored. A pellet stove has been installed to provide gentle warmth.
