The residence is perched on a cliff overlooking the magnificent tinctorial plant garden (the only one of its kind in Europe) and the château's hanging gardens. It offers guests an exceptional panoramic view of the Durance valley, the Alpilles mountain range and Mont Sainte-Victoire. Just a stone's throw from the old village, its picturesque little streets will lead you to discover its 18th-century château, the Eglise de la Purification with its magnificent sculpted campanile and its listed early 19th-century organs, the Chapelle Saint Roch, its old wash houses and, of course, its restaurants, bars and numerous shops. La Chaumière, once a hotel-restaurant, now looks like a cheerful, friendly home, while retaining the old-fashioned charm of its past. Half an hour's drive from Aix-en-Provence, Cavaillon, Salon-de-Provence and Apt, and an hour from Marseille, Avignon, Arles, Manosque, the sea (Cassis, Bandol, Les Saintes Maries de la mer), the Alpilles (Saint-Remy de Provence) and the Southern Alps, the village of Lauris is more than just a stopover; it's ideally situated as a rallying point for visitors wishing to visit all the prestigious sites of Provence. Thanks to its central location, Lauris is an ideal base for exploring the Luberon region and its typical villages (Lourmarin, Gordes, Bonnieux, Cucuron, Ansouis... ), or visiting the lavender fields. Kilometers of bicycle paths with carefully chosen itineraries will delight sporty visitors. Bikes can be stored in our garage. Cars can be parked nearby. For our biker friends, the secure garage can be made available (€10 per night per bike). Prices include continental breakfast, but exclude tourist tax (0.85ct). All our rooms are air-conditioned, with TV, private bathroom and toilet. Wi-Fi connection available free of charge. Safe in all rooms except Lourmarin. No pets allowed. For the comfort and safety of our guests, the establishment may not be suitable for children under 15. The establishment is open all year round.
