Le Prieuré La Madelène, a source of calm and tranquillity. To the sound of cicadas or lulled by the wind, crushed by the blue of the sky or caressed by the clouds, always protected by its hundred-year-old trees in the midst of orchards and nature, the Prieuré La Madelène is a source of calm and life whose beauty and tranquility leave their mark on body and soul. Erected on a small saffron promontory hidden by vegetation, at the end of an avenue of poplars, this former 12th-century priory has evolved with the passing of time and its inhabitants, and its solid walls, with stones sometimes visible, or like the rough beams of its ceilings, force humility, vibrating with a superior and reassuring power.
La Madelène is a stronghold, an entity in itself... A place to live without ostentation. A maze of levels, majestic or intimate rooms, nooks and crannies, views of the surrounding greenery, punctuated by terraces, the trellis - author Marie Cardinal's summer dining room, the fountain, the olive garden. So many invitations to relax, rest and contemplate.
Each room is unique and welcoming, with its own bathroom and private toilet, soberly dressed in Briard pastel water-green enamel. Their names, a nod to the region, the history of this privileged place or a simple, intimate tribute.
