Chalet in a village from another era, in the heart of the Ecrins National Park, our guest rooms are only accessible on foot after a 45-minute easy hike.

How about a break from your usual routine? Then l'Écrin de Violette is the place to be. Leave your car behind and walk to the gîte in 45 minutes in summer and 2 hours on skis or snowshoes in winter.

This mountain farmhouse stands alone overlooking a valley. Martine, a native of the area, welcomes you to a traditional stone and wood house with 2 comfortable guest rooms of incomparable charm. When she gets down to cooking, it's to whip up a few local specialties.

Behind the house, a footpath leads to the starting point for various hikes. For the more contemplative, the view of the mountains and the calm of the place are enough in themselves.
