The Lou Trihas gîte will seduce you with its authenticity and its location, in the Val de Durance, between Manosque and Sisteron, a quiet and pleasant village. Mountain bike trails, 31 signposted PR itineraries, most of them loops, family trails and more sporty routes, the tour of the lake, a beautiful ornithological reserve, a remarkable site for birdlife, gliding, fishing and the small nautical base on the banks of the Durance are all within easy reach.
Volonne is a small medieval village at the foot of a rocky spur overlooked by two towers: the taller, 13th-century tower is an ancient fortress, and the lower, 16th-century tower is the town clock. Volonne's picturesque little streets are cool in summer, and bear witness to a rich historical past. The central street features houses with medieval doors. Rue de Vière features old ramparts and a 16th-century aqueduct.
Housed in the heart of the village, the gîte is characterized above all by the atmosphere it exudes. With its rich heritage, the space has been perfectly optimized and the decoration is meticulous, the equipment functional. As you drive along our lovely roads, you'll discover Sisteron, the citadel, the fortifications, the cathedral, museums and ecomuseums, exhibitions, a classical music festival, cinema, fishing, a lake with supervised swimming, tennis, swimming pool and mini-golf. Also worth discovering is the wild and unspoilt Jabron valley, between the Alps and Provence, with its wide expanses of meadows, crops and moorland, and the Lure mountain, whose summit rises to 1826 m. An ideal setting for hikes and picnics with family and friends under a blue sky, it offers one of the finest views of the Southern Alps, from the peaks of the Ecrins National Park to the hills of Provence.
