The Auberge des Ecrins guarantees diners a warm, friendly welcome in a resolutely modern setting, contrasting with the age-old Champoléon valley below. It is in the Nordic skiing area and close to the ski resorts.

For short breaks or longer stays, the inn accommodates guests in double and family rooms (4 beds). All rooms are equipped with private sanitary facilities, a balcony or skylight. A shared lounge area is devoted to reading and DVDs.
The Auberge des Ecrins also has a restaurant, the Bistrot de Pays, with home-made cuisine and a choice of specialities from Champsaur, south-western France and recipes made from local produce, as well as regular events (concerts, dinner shows, storytelling, etc.) that will help you get the most out of your stay.

Leisure activities nearby: in summer, the starting point for a large number of family hikes or more athletic treks, and mountain biking; in winter, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing onsite, Alpine skiing (Orcières Merlette 1850 mountain ski resort and five village resorts are within 20 minutes of the inn).

This former cross-country ski hostel has all the hallmarks of a good mountain inn: location, atmosphere and a strong link with the local area. It's both a comfortable place to stay and a local bistro that knows how to show off the local treasures, a friendly stopover on the Champsaur roads...
Committed to quality, the Auberge des Écrins pays particular attention to the ecological dimension of its choices. In addition to local sourcing to promote the local economy and highly organized waste recycling, energy for heating and hot water comes from a communal boiler room fuelled by sawdust.
An added bonus for car-free enthusiasts: a transfer can be arranged from the bus stop at the entrance to the valley!
