The Golden Tulip Euromed is committed to sustainable tourism and has been recognized by the 1st international environmental label for tourist accommodation providers, Clef Verte. This label focuses on the establishment's environmental policy, guest awareness, water, energy and waste management, and responsible purchasing. Its approach is reflected in the installation of a Thassalia seawater loop, which supplies the establishment with heating and cooling via a 4-pipe network. Hot and cold energy is produced in the plant from seawater pumped from a depth of 7m, with the help of thermo refrigeration pumps and high-efficiency chillers. The results are tangible: 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, 65% reduction in water consumption. The Golden Tulip Euromed has also put the emphasis on sorting bio-waste on a daily basis in all hotel departments, has set up an annual plan to reduce water consumption, and is raising the awareness of its teams to respect the environment on a daily basis.
