A mountain stopover gîte, bar and grocery shop, our establishment is open to everyone, whether you're an athlete, a family, an artist, a contemplative person, a gourmet or all of the above, it doesn't matter, we provide the roof and you write the rest.

The gîte is a 3-storey house typical of high mountain villages. The name ‘shelter’ reflects the warm welcome we want to offer. The gîte sleeps 25 people in 5 bedrooms on 2 floors. We provide sheets and blankets for everyone. The dormitories are ideal for both groups and individuals. We make every effort not to mix residents in the rooms.

We prepare home-cooked, seasonal meals using local and organic produce as much as possible (almost 100%).

A lounge area where you can relax on a sofa will be available on the first floor. As we're big fans of board games, we have a games library available.

In winter and summer alike, Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye is an ideal base camp for exploring and discovering the jewels of the Ubaye valley. You can enjoy a wide range of sporting and cultural activities.

There's a good grocery shop on site, where you can buy local souvenirs to take home with you!
