In the centre of the Natural regional park of Queyras in the Hautes Alpes, this stop-over is ideally located for daily hikes in the different valleys of Queyras, in both summer and winter.

The Gîte des Astragales has been awarded the "Valeur Parc Naturel Régional" label for its commitment to the sustainable development of the region: preserving the environment, social well-being and the local economy.
Starting and finishing point of the Tour du Queyras on the GR 58, the gîte is also on the itinerary of the legendary GR 5 (GTA). Situated in the center of the Queyras, at the crossroads of the different valleys, it's the ideal location for a star holiday.
Accessible all year round via the main Queyras valley road, the gîte is located in the hamlet of Ville-Vieille, about 2 km from Château-Queyras, and is ideal for hiking, biking or ski touring. It's a 3-minute walk from the bus station, which provides transport from the Mont-Dauphin - Guillestre station and inter-village shuttles. Nearby, in Chateau-Queyras (within walking distance), rafting and via ferrata are available, as is a visit to the 13th-century fort.
On the Aiguilles side (2km), access to the ice waterfall, skating rink, play area or summer swimming pool, then Abriès (10 km), Molines (6km) Saint Véran (11 km), Arvieux (9 km) and Ceillac (22 km) cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and ski touring.
A 400-meter walk takes you to the Ville-Vieille esplanade, home to the Guillestrois Queyras Tourist Office, the Maison de l'Artisanat, a bakery, as well as Le Plantivore (artisan picker and processor of jams, liqueurs and herbal teas) and La Croquette du Queyras (traditional cookie maker).
The Chateau Queyras cheese dairy is 1 km away.

Meals are homemade from local, mostly organic produce, and dinner generally consists of a vegetable soup, a hearty main course, a salad and a homemade dessert. Half-board includes dinner and breakfast. We also offer picnic baskets for your excursions.

Anne and Yannick welcome you to their mountain gîte in the heart of the Queyras. For the night, 6 bedrooms for 2 to 5 people, and two dormitories for 8 and 12 people are at your disposal. In the evening and during the day, a large vaulted room and a lounge are available for discussions and planning your next outing. A bar, reserved for gîte residents, serves hot and cold drinks, depending on the season. Last but not least, Queyras is the ultimate nature destination! Hiking, mountain biking or cycling, mountaineering, climbing, kayaking or rafting, there are a thousand ways to discover the valleys and peaks of the Natural Park!
