In the heart of the Val d'Escreins, the Refuge de Basse Rua offers traditional, high-quality dining in an exceptional setting. Open all summer and all day, you can also sample our pies and even spend the night in our tipis.

The Refuge de Basse Rua is located in the Val d'Escreins nature reserve, part of the Queyras Regional Park. We offer lunchtime catering and snacks throughout the day. We also welcome hikers who take the Font Sancte tour over several days and stop off at our Refuge for an evening. We are committed to using organic and/or local produce.
