In this family-run inn, an old renovated farmhouse, you will enjoy dishes prepared with products from the garden, picked in the mountains, or featuring local producers.

You arrive at 7pm, and you'll be served a home-made aperitif in the company of all the other guests - it's the boss who invites you! Then it's time to sit down by the fire in the century-old vaulted room of the old cowshed. The room also contains a record player with a few good vinyl records, which fans will be delighted to browse through: here, it's the customer who decides on the background music!

The dishes are served "home-made", both in content and container: beautiful plates and stoneware bowls hand-crafted by Monique, head potter and mother of the owner... The cuisine, traditional and family-style, is prepared with love and is easy to enjoy, in a warm, authentic and convivial setting. All the ingredients for an unforgettable evening!

Like the Pic de l'Estoilies which, at 3175 m, dominates the border a little further on, the gîte in the hamlet of Raux is a frequent visitor to the stars... In the immensity of the wide open spaces and skies of the Queyras, on the outskirts of Saint-Véran, the highest village in Europe (2042 m!), l'Estoilie is a magical stopover.
Whatever your motivation or length of stay, the Auberge's cuisine is a real plus! The hosts' commitment to promoting the values of respectful, sustainable tourism can be seen right down to the plate. Prepared with care and served in the warm ambience of the chalet's vaulted rooms, meals are tasty moments that give these isolated evenings in the heart of the Queyras Natural Park a unique taste of the mountains.
