A new bistro in a quiet location on Place Edmond Rostand. Right from its very first weeks, this eatery was already welcoming a number of regulars. The friendly team, who have come from all four corners of France after a stint in Paris, present an open kitchen, a large terrace and a beautiful dining room with an unpolished, raw style for Friday-night parties. The menu is simple: there’s nothing crazy, just a touch of neo-retro, but chef Adrien Tran used to cook at the much-loved À Moro Italian restaurant in Marseille, and I like the fact the gang first met at La Relève – another
very good place to eat. In short: a mouth-watering CV. But the proof lies in the perfectly cooked skirt steak from Aubrac, and the sausage sourced from the same region. At lunchtime, even at 2 o’clock, they’ll be happy to set a table for you. Now that’s cool.
