A week's holiday at AlpineSingletrack.com starts on the Saturday of your arrival. Our house is very comfortable. After you have settled in and explored the area on Saturday, we start your cycling holiday on Sunday. This is followed by cycling activities on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is a rest day. The end of your stay is the following Saturday.
We provide breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, and dinner every day, except on Wednesday (rest day) when we only serve breakfast. Breakfast is continental style: bread, croissants, fresh fruit, cereals, oatmeal, and of course coffee or tea. The lunch is a "home-made bread roll" that you can take with you (on road bike days we also often serve lunch at home). When you return from your outing, a homemade cake or snack will be served and in the evening you will enjoy a hearty and healthy meal with a glass of wine.
Wednesday rest. You can then spend the day in peace or take advantage of the many tourist possibilities: a walk to the beautiful historic city centre with a visit to the Unesco listed Vauban site. Italy is nearby and the Serre Ponçon lake in Embrun is ideal for swimming. If you prefer to cycle, the bike park in Serre-Chevalier is 3km away and the one in Montgenèvre is 6km away. Don't forget that there are other sporting alternatives in the region: hiking, climbing, rafting, paragliding...
