A watercolorist whose watercolors have become a reference in the art world, she is also the author of numerous travel books on regions of France and Europe, and an illustrator of children's books.

Faraway destinations make us dream, of course, but I'd like to show that we can walk with our eyes and our brushes right on our doorstep; every stroll is a journey: being receptive to what surrounds us, to encounters, to the messages of man and nature, knowing how to marvel... we can inhabit time right on our doorstep.
I like to depict architectural lines, relics showing the passage of time, in the measure of man, the charms of Provence, an olive grove dotted with poppies, the dark hedge of cypress trees, a few local customs, a sky that's too blue, that omnipresent southern light....
My notebooks are like strolls, with the slowness necessary to soak up the atmosphere of the place, to discover the lights, to capture the thousand details that make up the charm of a region.
Adventure isn't always exoticism; it's also a state of mind, of discovery, of poetry, along the way....
