Based in the former Frédéric Mistral college in Arles, the Centre Résistance et Déportation d'Arles et pays d'Arles (CRDA) carries out ongoing research, collection and conservation work on these two aspects of history that shaped our societies from 1939 to 1945. The main aim of the association is to maintain the memory, to pass on and to encourage reflection on all the questions of humanity and citizenship raised by these twentieth-century events.
In addition to its educational activities for schoolchildren, the CRDA has initiated numerous cultural activities for the general public. While a program of conferences, tours and exhibitions punctuates the year, the riches of the collection are also accessible to all on request.
