The Lake Serre-Ponçon Harbour Master's Office, the new emblem of the nautical destination!
The Harbour Master's Office is responsible for the technical management of the entire lake, while offering boating services that are particularly geared towards the sector "upstream" of the Savines-le-Lac bridge (a real "cut-off point" for a number of boats): a slipway with a harbour quay, a careening area, a dry dock and a pontoon-based fuel distribution area (already built as part of the regional "clean ports" programme) are in line with similar facilities that have already been built or are planned, in the Baie Saint-Michel for example. The aim is to develop a comprehensive offer, enabling the 1,200 moorings available on the lake to be upgraded for all types of pleasure craft (sailing, powerboating, etc.).
The harbour master's office comprises 4 functional areas:
- The public reception areas, comprising a reception room designed to direct visitors to the region's heritage and tourism network, and a "club house" that will be open to all by the summer of 2020;
- The administrative areas of the S.M.A.D.E.S.E.P. (head office);

- Technical areas (workshops, storage, garages), dedicated to the nautical and tourist management of the Lac de Serre-Ponçon;
- Outdoor areas (close to and around the lake), including a launching ramp/port quay, designed to offer nautical services on the eastern part of the artificial reservoir over tidal ranges that will guarantee quality activity for a minimum of 4 to 6 months. These areas, which are a priority in terms of tourism, have already been delivered and made available to our yachtsmen. They are also complemented by a small careening area (to come) and a dry port, which will eventually enable us to offer our customers integrated port products, previously unavailable on the reservoir.
