I'm Delphine, creator of the deL-sAn brand: a textile craftswoman with a passion for Japan.
Why deL-sAn?
It's my name in Japanese: del for delphine and san for people.I created the logo based on the principle of a "hanko", a stamp used in Japan as a signature. With a background in interior architecture and furniture design, I worked for 15 years in commercial interior design.
I started my creative business in 2015, making cushions for decoration projects. Unique pieces or small series, whose particularity is the composition of materials, the mix of fabrics.
Since 2019, and especially since my move to the Var in 2021, I've been developing custom creations of second-hand clothing. This approach makes the most of already existing items: upcycling, or overcycling. I create patterns and designs entirely by hand, using Pébéo's Sétacolor textile paint. I also offer made-to-measure creations, to order, to transform a garment and personalize it.
