Expressions is one of the only shops in Aix that continues to sell artisanal earthenware and ceramics crafted in the area. This local craftsman produces all his objects in his Fuveau workshop, 15 kilometres east of Aix-en-Provence.

His production is complemented by a wide array of paintings and postcards (watercolours and acrylics) created on-site.

The ceramics are made using traditional techniques (throwing, stamping, moulding) and are entirely hand-decorated in the workshop. Their creation comprises a host of different steps as well as two firings at 1,040°C and 960°C.
Traditional-style enamelling, by dipping, and meticulous, spontaneous brushwork ensure our ceramics boast all the charm of one-of-a-kind pieces. Mr Gertz invites you to discover his Provencal-style earthenware embracing the warmth of traditional glazes, unpretentious design and elegant decoration.
