The Lambert plateau farm,
Sheep raised in the open air, clearing undergrowth to protect against fires.
Every year these sheep produce wool that we have to shear. But this wool has no value in France, it's considered to be waste.
Faced with this situation, in 2021 the Lambert farm decided to take a closer look at this material.
We offer you:
- a range of artisanal products to be found at the Ferme du Lambert shop, 18 rue Jean Jaurès in Collobrières.
- Rando laine, to discover the Plateau Lambert (our farm but also an emblematic site of the Massif des Maures), the sheep and the work of wool over a shared meal. This walk takes place twice a year (once in autumn and once in spring, or by prior arrangement for groups of 10 or more).
- Educational activities involving wool, weaving, felt and dyeing for schoolchildren and disabled people. For school groups, you can find our services in the Freinet heritage conservatory catalogue.
