"It's in her Molines-en-Queyras workshop, Le Bois d'Ylva, that Natacha Heitz transforms wood into cRAKŬ, in reference to the ceramists' raku... The originality of her art lies in the textures obtained by working the fire on wood previously turned and/or carved before being colored.
Playing with materials, colors, volumes and shapes, she creates unique pieces of pure design. Her mastery of these singular techniques integrates the values of an eco-responsible approach that respects know-how and forests. The artist uses only cembro pine, a local wood certified PEFC and Bois des Alpes, and everything is made exclusively by hand. A must-discover, made in Queyras, appreciated far beyond the mountains!
