LES OLIVIERS DE NOTRE DAME

Our farm has fully adhered to the specifications of Organic Agriculture since 2006. However, in practice, we go well beyond these guidelines: total self-fertility, fermented extracts of nettle and alfalfa produced on-site, no tillage, direct seeding, maximization of permanent vegetative cover (under the olive trees and between the lavender), continuous ecological monitoring (active members of LPO and CEN-PACA), preservation of hedges, creation of ponds, etc. It's a permaculture tailored to our pedo-climatic context in Haute-Provence.

Laurent BOUVIN and Geneviève AURIC practice organic farming on about forty hectares, cultivating lavender, lavandin, cereals, and precisely 1,142 olive trees. They have magnificent centuries-old trees on the estate, located at 600 meters altitude, in the Notre-Dame valley (hence the name of the farm). With these trees, the couple produces olive oil, pressed at the Bonaventure mill, offering it in both AOP Haute Provence green fruity and ripe fruity varieties. They are committed to selling these quality products at an affordable price.

Products include olive oil, lavender and lavandin essence, and cereals.
