A rejuvenating break with Clud Med

Resembling a little mountain hamlet, Serre Chevalier’s Club Med Resort is enjoying a fresh new face with a focus on traditional wood and sundials. The environmentally-friendly refurbishment project promises to bring  a new lease of life to this iconic establishment at the foot of the slopes, with upgraded amenities plus improved energy performance. Reopening on December 15th, 2024.

Four-seasons biathlon

This dual shooting and Nordic skiing discipline demands endurance, concentration and mental strength. The village resort of Ceillac in the Queyras Regional Nature Reserve has just inaugurated its new biathlon stadium, featuring courses accessible throughout the year for the promise of a thrilling sporting experience in the heart of nature.

Non-ski Nordic Pass

The Southern Alps’ Nordic ski areas promise non-skiers plenty of winter fun this year too. The new Nordic Pass Evasion invites snowshoers, fatbikers, dog sledders and runners to make the most of the snow at the very friendly price of €5 per day, €15 per week or €45 for the entire season.

Starry skies

Located in the Alpes Azur Mercantour International Dark Sky Reserve, Ubaye valley enjoys exceptionally spectacular night skies. Enjoy the show to the full thanks to the new Barcelonnette Observatory, comprising two observation domes, a planetarium and nocturnal biodiversity discovery trail. You’ll find Europe’s largest amateur telescope there too, built in 1929.

"Chefs au Sommet" festival

Short distribution circuits reign supreme here. A myriad of small producers, often using organic or “reasonable farming”  methods, supply delicious fare to local inhabitants and visitors alike.
Get ready to savour: from January 15th-20th 2025, the crème de la crème of Riviera chefs will be heading to the heights of Auron for this week-long gastro-panoramic festival at easy-to-digest prices. Highlights include gastro dinners, cooking and pastry-making shows and a gastro BBQ on the slopes!
