Luxury, calm and Luberon

A corner of paradise where time stands still

In the quest for ultimate wellbeing, every new discovery is the start of a voyage. Set in the heart of the Luberon, Coquillade Village is a five-star refuge basking amid grapes and lavender fields. Even the jacuzzi nestles among the vines… In Joucas, the subtle, contemporary decor of Le Mas des Herbes Blanches Hôtel & Spa – Relais & Château strikes a perfect contrast with the ancient charm of dry stone walls. The house spa offers sweeping views over the hills of Provence and you can enjoy on-site yoga classes too. Slightly further South, La Bastide de Gordes***** has set up home inside an ancient, 16th-century lord’s residence. Although the site is steeped in prestige, you still feel perfectly at home in the 40 welcoming rooms bursting with charm. Wellness reaches its peak at the spa, where you’ll find a range of treatments from top-of-the-range brands… Last but not least, head to Château de Massilan in the Vaucluse area: this ancient hunting lodge owned by Henry II and Diane of Poitiers harbours a 600m2organic spa offering vegan treatments made with all-natural ingredients.

Harmony of body and mind: 100% replenishing

It’s hard to make a choice with so many havens of peace and wellness on offer, but here goes. In Aix-en-Provence, the Thermes Sextius offers a benchmark balneotherapy experience with natural spring water already coveted by the Romans. On Ile des Embiez, between Marseille and Toulon, HélioSpa boasts a truly magnificent setting. Next, head to the Hôtel & Spa du Castellet*****, named one of « Europe’s Finest Luxury Spas ». With massages, tennis and a gastronomic dinner at restaurant, headed up by Fabien Ferré, get ready for the pampering of a lifetime. Located near Fréjus, Domaines de Saint-Endréol**** offers a delicious cocktail of spa and golf in an exceptional setting. Set on the heights of La Cadière-d’Azur, you will love the typical Provencal atmosphere of the Bérard AromaSpa. Authenticity abounds at the Bastide des Bains in Marseille too, where you can enjoy a traditional argan body wrap followed by a steaming cup of mint tea. Lastly, try a yoga class at the Clos des Roses in Fréjus. On the programme: wine tasting preceded by an Ashtanga Yoga class, perfect for opening your chakras!
