Top afternoon meals

Forget industrial biscuits and fruit juices: an afternoon break on the farm is both an opportunity for an outing to the country and for tasting healthy, tasty local products you’ll just have to take home with you.

Jams and pestos for your afternoon break!

At the Ferme des Soldanelles

From this high-altitude vegetable farm in the Champsaur labelled « Bienvenue à la ferme », you get a panoramic view over the prairies and the mountain ranges of the Southern Alps. Fruit and vegetables are grown on these timeless lands, while chickens lay eggs you can eat really fresh. After the farm visit (Thursdays and Saturdays on prior booking), it’s time for the afternoon meal on the farm. On the menu: waffles (prepared with eggs from the farm, of course!) and seasonal fruit jams. In summer, strawberry, rhubarb, redcurrant, raspberry or blackcurrant are in the limelight, as is the pesto made with basil and wild garlic. In the autumn, they make way for jams which are often surprising, like rosehip jam, made from the fruit of the dog rose.

Friends and animals: a super birthday!

At La Ferme de Noé

An unforgettable birthday afternoon: they’re getting together with his friends on the farm! On the programme: discovery of the ferme-auberge labelled Bienvenue à la ferme, getting to know the animals and feeding them under supervision. The day continues with outdoor games, a treasure hunt, and a delicious birthday cake with organic fruit juice. A festive moment full of laughter – a few hours which are also a moment to learn about our link to nature. La Ferme de Noé has a solidarity vocation (it regularly takes in people in need) and is guided by a conviction: farm animals make it easier to express your feelings. And if your little one hasn’t got the patience to wait for their birthday, the educational farm welcomes you for half days or full days all year round.

Goat’s milk ice cream and strokes

At La Ferme des Jovents

Here, the afternoon break on the farm is an institution: it’s every weekend from 4 to 7 pm! There are some surprising recipes. With a large herd of 80 goats, La Ferme des Jovents, labelled Bienvenue à la ferme, produces cheeses, yoghurts and goat’s milk ice cream with Brazil nuts. Delicious! Some weekends, pancakes (made with goat’s milk) are also available. Having an afternoon meal on the farm is a real experience in its own right and a moment to disconnect: you can visit the place on your own, relax with the family and outdoor games or board games, watch the goats being taken care of and milked and buy your products direct. Our favourite moment: We love seeing the goats come to meet their visitors from their pen. They are highly intelligent and affectionate and they love human company.

Making your own afternoon meal

At La Ferme de l’Oiselet

Welcome to a family estate labelled Bienvenue à la Ferme where you come as much for the meal as for the caring atmosphere and the superb view of the Dentelles de Montmirail and Mont-Ventoux. In this little natural paradise, there is a permaculture vegetable garden, vines, an orchard and a chicken run with a sheep pen. The philosophy of the place is sharing, transmission and friendliness in a peaceful setting. On summer afternoons (on prior booking), the « ateliers gourmands » (food workshops) are for young and old alike. With the organic products harvested in this exceptional garden, you can make a delicious homemade sorbet you’ll remember with a sparkle in your eye.
