It isn’t always easy to keep up the same rhythm all year round… unless you get on your mountain bike and rethink your agenda cycle-wise. From January to December, the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d’Azur region challenges you on the trails and paths of the south. Well warmed-up at the start or even more motivated than usual before tackling the height difference, you’re ready for athletic rides, mountain bike challenges or races against the clock with a view of the peaks. See our selection of events to make the most of the open air and keep fit!

The Maurin des Maures

A mountain bike ride in the tracks of Maurin des Maures, the imaginary hero of the Provencal poet Jean Aicard!

A mountain bike ride that has built up a solid reputation over the years. 22! What a great age! For this 22nd edition, which will take place on 16th April 2023, 5 courses are proposed, with progressive  distances and difficulty: for seasoned mountain bikers and also for families and children. A unique opportunity to discover the Massif des Maures and breathe in the scents of this beautiful Mediterranean forest. And to cap it all, guided hikes are also organised.

THE TRANSVÉSUBIENNE

Thrills and Wild Landscapes

Were you excited? So were we! The new mountain biking race “The Transvésubienne” will take place on September 24, 2023, in the Alpes-Maritimes region.

The race will start from the village of Saint-Martin-Vésubie, perched at 975 meters above sea level, at the gates of the Mercantour National Park, between the Boréon and Madone de Fenestre valleys. Competitors will ride over 84 km in a wild and preserved environment, tackling ridge trails and valleys until they reach Nice.

THE TRANSRIVIERA

Adrenaline and Sublime Landscapes

Were you excited? So were we! The mountain biking race “The Transriviera” will take place on May 7, 2023, in the Alpes-Maritimes region.

The race will start from the village of Tende, perched at 815 meters above sea level near the Italian border. Participants can choose between two routes of 90 km or 60 km, passing through sublime landscapes of plateaus, valleys, and forests, reaching Menton for those who have chosen the 90 km route and Breil-sur-Roya for the 60 km route.

L’Alps Epic

A one-week Marathon mountain biking formula with 3-star services on the tracks of the Grande Traversée des Hautes-Alpes

If you’re a fan of mountain biking, you’re sure to find an event to suit you on Alps Epic.

The Alps Epic VTT Marathon will  take place from 17th to 21rd June2023. A prologue and five stages  of around  50 to 70 km per day solo or in teams of 2; with or without timing. This event is part of the “EPIC” format: a one-week ride which demands good physical and technical qualities with an all-in organisation: services courses, logistics, accommodation…

For those of you who don’t have time or don’t want to take the whole week, these 2 formulas also come in “Week-End” format; 2 or 3 days, with the same services!

You are crossing one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Hautes-Alpes, made up of lakes, alpine pastures and forests.

From the point of view of logistics, the organisation deals with everything: after-race meals with local products, bike washing and maintenance and massage for all the participants. Optional: accommodation (collective or comfortable accommodation), luggage transport, racer shuttles, etc. A unique experience shared between participants from 20 different countries!
