100 kilometres of mountain bike trails for all levels

At the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, the Vars ski resort is ideal for your family mountain bike ride or to satisfy your desire for thrills.
Mountain bike fans, bow down to the queen of descents: 32 kilometres between Vars and Embrun, one of Europe’s longest. Another essential feature of this complex is the Taillefer trail, a route used for the World Downhill Mountain Bike Cup.
The bonus: the Vars ski lifts are open every day in the summer.

THE ÎLES D’OR AND HYÈRES BY MOUNTAIN BIKE

Where mountain bikes and heavenly beaches meet

Hyères and the Îles d’Or offer 95 kilometres of certified mountain bike trails and three levels of routes that will charm mountain bike riders of all levels.
After a visit to the welcome point at the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Velodrome, located in Hyères, sail over to the island of Porquerolles. This preserved area is home to picturesque coves that  are worth the visit. Don’t miss the Plage Notre Dame, one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe.
The island’s farms and huge forests will also enchant you during your ride.

MONT VENTOUX

Enduro and cross country at Mont Chauve

Biking and Ventoux go together as naturally as “legendary climb” and “Tour de France.” The Giant of Provence is also the ideal playground for mountain bike enthusiasts.
Between the Luberon and the Baronnies Provençales, the VTT-FFC area offers 13 routes of all levels and 220 kilometres of trails for cross-country and Enduro enthusiasts.
On site, the local fauna and flora will wow you. With more than 1,200 inventoried plant varieties, 120 species of birds, and the presence of large mammals, Mont Ventoux is part of a network of 500 world biosphere reserves that are recognised by UNESCO.

THE COASTAL COUNTRYSIDE OF THE ALPES-MARITIMES

Pedalling between land and sea

The coastal countryside offers you 10 mountain bike routes ranging from 7 to 16 kilometres long – ideal for your family rides.
Admire the varied panoramas where verdant Mediterranean vegetation, the ochre and orange rocks of the Estérel Massif, and the turquoise sea combine for a colourful natural backdrop.
We haven’t forgotten the most athletic cyclists – some routes require a bit of effort. As is the case for the route that leads to Mont Arpasse, offering a spectacular viewpoint over the Vallée du Var and the Vallée de l‘Estéron.
