Romanesque abbey founded in the 11th century, listed as a historic monument since 1886. Monastery of Benedictine nuns, reformed in the 17th century by Cardinal Mazarin. The abbey will reopen after major restoration work in 2014 and 2020.
Founded in the 11th century by the abbot of Saint-Victor de Marseille, the Abbey of La Celle was a double priory. The conventual buildings dedicated to the nuns have been beautifully restored. Occupied for a time by an aristocratic community, part of this Romanesque complex now houses a luxury hostelry.
