Designed and laid out by the National Alpine Botanical Conservatory, the Alpine Garden of Gap-Charance offers a discovery of the vegetation of the French Alps, from the plain to the highest peaks.
Presenting both natural environments such as lawns, scree slopes, rocks and wetlands, and semi-natural - meadows and cultivated fields - this garden invites visitors to consider the various impacts of man on biodiversity.
This garden is part of the network of 8 Franco-Italian Jardinalp gardens whose creation was financed by the Interreg-Alcotra programme.
Within the framework of this programme, the CBNA also proposes 3 natural heritage discovery itineraries near the Alpine Garden of Gap-Charance: the Charance canal, the Gleize peak and a cycling itinerary around the Aujour mountain.
