A contemporary neighbor of the amphitheater, the Théâtre Antique, still features part of its seating and orchestra. It, too, is one of the city's 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Built at the end of the 1st century BC, the Ancient Theater of Arles has suffered the vicissitudes of time. Nowadays, the precious remains are open to the public and are occasionally returned to their original purpose. It is in this historical and romantic setting, under the sky and the stars of Provence, that many spectators are welcomed in summer.
