Built near the fort of the Col de Brouis, these barracks house the troops in charge of the artillery and the operation of this structure, but also the soldiers of the forward posts of the top of the Bosc and the Cougoule. During the fighting for the liberation of Breil sur Roya in April 1945, the Germans dug in and inflicted heavy losses on the free French of the 1st DFL. Severely damaged by shells and bombs, this fort is abandoned to the army.
