Astronomy:
Affiliated with the Association Française d'Astronomie as the Ecole d'Astronomie du Var, and with the Société Astronomique de France. Established in Ollioules since 1996, the Vega club's objectives are to disseminate and share knowledge in the field of astronomy, as well as the practice of sky observation. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced amateur astronomer, you'll be able to take part in the following activities in a friendly atmosphere:
Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. during the school year: presentation of astronomical news and a talk. Friday evenings at the Observatoire Astronomique du Gros Cerveau: observation of the night sky with your own or the club's instruments.
About six times during the school year and every Friday in summer: lectures by astrophysicists.
Occasional themed trips and observation of special astronomical events. For beginners: introduction to astronomy and observation for children, and observation training for adults.
